I am an experienced leader dedicated to creating positive change through people-centered finance and operations management, strategic leadership, and system optimization. With over 20 years of experience in non-profit financial management, and organizational operations, I have a proven commitment to building collaborative, efficient and mission-aligned organizations

My philosophy is grounded in the belief that an organization’s budget is a moral document, and that it must reflect its core values. I champion collaborative budget-making and financial processes that engage staff at all levels, fostering transparency, professional development, and shared power. This focus on equity extends to my work in Human Resources, where I have led functions like recruitment, policy management, and benefits administration, while also fostering a healthy culture where staff are valued, mentored, and empowered to grow. At Alternate ROOTS, where I served in finance and operations roles including Co-Executive Director, I spearheaded the creation of an equitable pay structure, standardized job descriptions, and created new staff structures to increase collaboration and efficiency. 

Throughout my career, I have refined and cultivated my management style, centered on building relationships and collaboration, while also ensuring efficiency, stability and strategic organizational growth. I have successfully led initiatives to streamline processes, improve internal communication, and boost productivity, delivering measurable results and ensuring financial stability, all while contributing to an organization's overall goals and mission. For me, leadership is about engaging people, guiding and empowering them, and achieving an alignment of vision to guide organizational success.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Arts from the University of New Orleans, with extensive additional coursework and training in Business Administration, Accounting, and Human Resources. Originally from New Orleans, Louisiana, my partner Fred and I have called Atlanta, Georgia home since 2012. I enjoy gardening, making visual art and spending time with my two Borzois, Luka and Nigel.
